Membership Criteria
To qualify as a Wado organisation, which would be accepted into membership, each group must be versed in the following (minimum) Wado technical requirements. Upon knowledge of an organisation, in membership, not following the minimum technical requirements (within 12-months of accepted provisional membership), said organisation/s will be expelled from membership.
These following Tai-sabaki are the foundation and basis to all traditional and modern Wadoryu styles. If you do not practise these techniques, you do not follow the minimum accepted Wado Karate requirements under the IWF; and therefore would not be eligible for consideration into membership within the International Wado Federation.
For further information please refer to your National Representative/s for clarification, as they should be well versed with the traditional Wadoryu requirements for membership to the International Wado Federation.
See further below for videos of the official Wado Kihon Gumite and Wado Kata.
